1964 Series

Info: These four paintings were done in early 2004 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Beatles coming to America. Each painting stands 4' by 3' and was done using acrylic/tempera paints. One unique feature of these four pieces is the backround on each, which was done using metallic scratchboard paper.
Awards/Recognition: Ohio Governor's Youth Art Competition Regional Winner 2004; Ohio River Art Gallery Best of Show Award; Ohio River Art Gallery's People's Choice Award (click on the photo on the left to see the paintings hanging in the Ohio River Arts Gallery)
Special Note: These were also on display August 6-8, 2004, at Abbey Road on the River in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lady Liberty

Info: This was my first attempt at greyscale art using acrylic and tempera paint. Obviously, it is the Statue of Liberty and was completed during 2003-2004. This piece is also FOR SALE! For more info, please click here.
Awards/Recognitions: Honorable Mention in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards 2004

Anytime At All

Info: This painting was given to my friend Beth for her birthday in 2004. It was done using acrylics and also uses bits of the scratchboard paper as backround. (I apologize for the glare from the frame.)

Lord Byron

Info: Lord Byron was done in 2004 as an extra credit assignment in AP English. It is, if you couldn't infer, a portrait of the romantic poet Lord Byron done in the pop art style. This painting was done using colored tissue paper as a backround and printer's ink as paint.

Column 4

Info: This 8' art piece was inspired by the "A Hard Day's Night" album. Each "block" is a 2' by 2' canvas, which after completion were nailed together and hinged so it is able to fold into a 4' piece. The backround is again done in colored tissue paper and the silhouetted Beatles are done in black acrylics. This piece is also FOR SALE! For more info, please click here.

Live From New York...

Info: This painting was done early in 2004 and is of one street in New York at a unique angle. This is one of the rare non-photorealism pieces I have done. Acrylics were the medium. This piece is also FOR SALE! For more info, please click here.

Sparky

Info: Sparky was many 'firsts' for me as an artist: my first commissioned piece, my first attempt at graffiti art and my first time using printer's ink as a medium.
